RoHS Compliance

 

As you may know, over recent weeks we have unfortunately experienced delays in fulfilling orders for both Fiber Options and IFS products, as a result of the need to achieve compliance with the very stringent RoHS regulations which came into force throughout the EU on 1st July 2006.

 

The good news is that, after consultation with GE Legal Council and a very thorough technical assessment, all Fiber Options & IFS products have been reclassified to Category 3 of EU Directive 2002/95/EC, and as a consequence we have been able to recommence full-scale production.   At the moment we are quoting a typical lead-time for new orders of 4 to 6 weeks, but once we have been able to deal with the backlog of orders we expect to be able to reduce this significantly.

 

In the meantime we would like to offer you our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by these shipping delays, and ask for your continued understanding and patience for a little while longer.  We will, of course, do everything that we can to expedite your outstanding orders as quickly as possible.
